This is what I have been doing on the blanket the past couple of days, whilst I haven’t made new hexes I have been sewing in the peskies and stitching the hexes together. I’m so glad with the progress, I’m stitching it together with UK double crochet stitch using stylecraft special in Parchment.
This is it so far, minus a few squares that I have finished since yesterday. I’m really enjoying getting this done. I will likely need to block the hexes as some are slightly bigger than the others but it’s not looking too shabby! Lots to do still though! The missing hex on the left is another red one, for brick.
So, Nick worked it out. His birthday present. We live in a tiny flat and he managed to sneak a peek of my notebook with all of the plans because I was silly enough to work on the plans whilst he was home, so I can post about it now. However, he doesn’t yet know how many hexes I need and nor will he realise how big it will be until it has been given to him.
We got back late last night from a lovely honeymoon in Spain. This morning we picked our rats up from the wonderful rat sitter and now we’re home and relaxing, as is the plan for the rest of this Bank Holiday weekend!
So, I thought that I’d share my main holiday project, a gorgeous shawl pattern that I cut short to make a scarf instead.
